Oh, these are so fun!
My second set of lounging pyjamas, in polkadot silk crepe de chine, made from Wearing History's Lounging at the Lido pattern.
I did change the pattern a little. I left off the collar and changed the back to a low V, which removed the need for buttons and an over-lap. Instead of a single layer top, which the pattern called for, I lined the top with a second layer of the fabric, for the same reason I lined the halter top in my last post - sheer fabric. It also made for quicker sewing and a more tidy neckline, as opposed to hemming. The arm holes were bound with self-fabric bias binding. And note, I really had to open those up! The pattern has very, very small arm holes.
I also made an easier belt, that just wraps around, instead of attaching.
Haha and the obligatory, LOOK at the size of these pant legs shot! So much fabric! I love it!
As with all the Wearing History patterns I have used, these went together beautifully. Very easy to follow and very quick to sew.
And these are oh so comfy to wear!

ReplyDeleteThank you! I think the sunglasses really add something. They're such a fun, silly shape. I guess they don't show too well in the pictures, but they were so small and round.
DeleteAmazing how much modern rompers harken back to this style. I find these to be much more elegant than most rompers/jumpsuits these days, though. ;)
